Aunt Lyona’s

Aunt Lyona’s was an amusement park. Mom dropped them on the way to work. “Now be good little girls,” she said.

“We will,” they chorused.

Lyona’s closet was off-limits. The girls decided to investigate regardless.

The key turned in the lock. The door swung open. It was too easy.

“Ooh la la,” one sister said, holding Auntie’s silk hat.

“Over the shoulder boulder holders,” said the other to giggles.

A twisted stick with a silver cap emerged from the drawer.

“What’s that?”

Around her head, it circled. “Elsa! Let it snow!”

Ice covered the garden blooms. Outside Auntie yelled, “Girls!
